Ode to the Land of Cheese.... {Suwanee, Georgia Children and Family Photographer}

Oh Wisconsin, how I love thee, even though it's so cold...
Driving through my home town, a special place in my heart it does hold....
Flat lands abound and lakes to drive 'round...
How I do love to go back to my home ground....

The Packers, the Badgers, friendly people and cheese...
Wisconsin also holds dear my best friend the Weez....
Her 3 beautiful daughters I head out to see....
And capture their holiday pictures, but not under a [boring] tree....

The oldest so sweet, complacent and cool....
The middle so darling & sassy & looking to duel....
The baby ... those cheeks .... oh how I love those cheeks .....
I can't think of anything that might rhyme with cheeks....

So please enjoy below the pictures I took....
A poet I am not, but it's still worth a look....
I love going home, to the land so dear to my heart....
But back to Atlanta I came, lots of work here to start....

(Kel, thanks for giving me the opportunity to photograph the girls and spend the weekend with you all. I love going home and being able to spend it with you all made it the best trip ever!! xoxox)

BOYS! {Suwanee Children and Family Photographer}

Oh sweet adorable boys .... how do I love thee. Those who know me know that although I have an adorable 2 year old daughter, I really am a boy mom and love to get my arms wrapped around one of those sticky and sweaty hugs they give oh so tight around your neck .... anyhow, I digress. I had a contest during the summer and the M family won one of the prizes - a free session. I was super excited because I have known the mom for years and she has always touched my heart. Their family is so sweet and fun and compassionate and kind ... they really do embody the essence of family. I loved every moment of working with them. Sweet baby T was not in the mood for pictures at the beginning but like I told mom, usually the ones that start out shy - and maybe crying - end up with the best portraits at the end. ;o) Their oldest son really needs to be a model and their middle son is silly and funny and I want to squeeze those cheeks so bad! Thank you M family for allowing me to create memories for you! Here is a little sneak peek (with so many awesome proofs, it was hard to select just a few for on here.....)

The Walkers! {Suwanee Family & Children's Photographer}

Girls Girls Girls Girls ...... are there any boys left in the world? LOL .... it seems I have been shooting a LOT of girls lately - which I adore! Who can argue with the cuteness factor of girl clothes? :o) I did get the privilege of FINALLY shooting a boy today .... alright, it was a dad, but a boy is a boy is a boy .... right? Ha! Anyhow, the Walker family stopped by Suwanee on their way home from Disney World on their way back to Indiana ... what an honor for me! The 3 girls are so cute and so much fun ... the oldest is born to pose and the youngest was .. well ... 2 ... but cute and fun and silly ...... the middle is the sweet one as is so clearly proven through photographs. It's amazing to me what a story photography can tell about a family. Thank you, Walker family, for allowing me the opportunity to create special family memories for you!

Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice! {Suwanee Child and Family Photographer}

Sweet little A and M! These girls were adorable and so much fun to work with in downtown Suwanee.... we posed, we played, we dodged the trains! Having a 2 year old daughter myself, I was very surprised with how cooperative little Miss M was! They were fun and funky and everything a photographer could hope for! Here is a little sneak peek for Mom and Dad!

Kate and Kate plus Kate = KATE!

Little brother was home with the yuckies so Kate and I had a blast hanging out and playing cowboy! (And she needed some 5 year portraits anyhow!) I'm pretty sure Kate thought I had lost my mind .... but we did end up having a pretty nice time together. :o) Mom is expecting number 3 and I can't wait to meet that little bugger ... especially since 1 & 2 are absolutely adorable! (p.s. I snuck another funky processing picture in the mix - 2nd one down ..... LOVE!)

GRAYSON IS 2!

I had so much fun photographing this little beauty. I mean - look at those eyes! Stunning.... I love this new location I found and am having so much fun shooting there. And although I love to shoot my little southern babies in their smocked garb, I am also loving me some funky shoots and processing like this:

Grayson was so much fun ..... not a bit of complaining and put up with me goofing off for almost an hour!

And .... of course .... I even photographed her in all of her southern charm! (I told you I'd still do it!)

Specials to be announced soon - and more details about my custom clothing shoot!!

Enjoy the nicer weather .... I know I sure am! Hug your babies and live each day like it's your last! xoxo

EXCITING NEWS TO SHARE!

I am so ready for fall.... ready for cooler temps and pumpkin spice lattes and fresh cool breezes in my kitchen. (I just learned last night what a pumpkin roll is so I am looking forward to one of those as well!)

My big exciting news .... I was asked by a local children's clothing designer to photograph her Fall and Holiday lines .... I am starting to get the pieces roll in and will happily post the pictures as I finish them .... she makes adorable knot dresses (and reverse knot dresses!) and cute skirts and peasant tops, etc ..... I am so honored and excited to have been given this opportunity.

I have some freebies from a contest to finish shooting this early fall and then will start on my fall specials for your Holiday cards! So keep watching for that!! It's about that time ...

Here's a sneak peek at one of the outfits she makes ..... I'm posting it in black and white to keep you wanting for more ...... *evil laugh*

Keep smiling, love laughing, hug your family and kiss your friends. Or the other way around. ;)

Hot. Hot. Hot.

I don't shoot a lot during the summer (because it's freakin' HOT in Atlanta!) but will when asked because it IS my passion yada, yada, yada .... anyhow, I was given the privilege of shooting an adorable family looking to create a little something special for the grandparents. Throw in some individuals and a family shot and BAM! I don't shoot a lot of teenagers so to fit these big kids in my typical small spaces was silly, funny and downright hysterical. They did whatever I asked and made me hope that when my little boogers grow up, they are just as pleasant and fun as these kids....

I am going to try to blog a little more .... I just noticed my last blog has a pumpkin in it. Sheesh ....

Enjoy the sneak peek Williams/Baum families!
